MediaScout^® MiniChrom
MiniChrom columns are delivered ready to use, packed with chromatography media from a large collection of
commercially available resins or gel products for bioseparation.
Unless otherwise stated, packed media are equilibrated with 20% ethanol or a mixture of 20% ethanol and
150 mM sodium chloride (ion exchangers, IMAC and HIC resins).
Columns are equipped with plastic fittings and may be stored at room temperature.

Components of MediaScout^® MiniChrom columns are made from bio-compatible polymers, mainly
polypropylene (column tube, end piece, filter adapter).
Filter plates are made from porous polypropylene material.
Columns may be connected directly to most liquid chromatography systems or workstations and connection to earlier FPLC® systems is simple with standard 10-32 male / M6 female adapters.

MediaScout^® MiniChrom columns are primarily designed for use with chromatography systems.
However they can also be operated with syringes or peristaltic pumps.
They may be reused as long as the resin remains in acceptable condition, which will depend largely
upon the care taken, the cleaning performed and the tolerance of the resin to user conditions.
The columns are not designed to be repacked by the end user.

Available in 3 internal diameters:

• 5 mm => 0,2 cm² cross section area
• 8 mm => 0.5 cm² cross section area
• 11,3 mm => 1.0 cm² cross section area
